Junior Cricket Skills on Monday 17 March

Today all the junior classes had a taste of what cricket is all about.
Raj and Chandra helped to teach the children some of the cricket skills of batting, bowling and fielding the ball.
In relays, we got to bowl the ball at the wicket. Then we had to pick up the ball and throw it back to the next person.
When we were practising catching the cricket ball, we learned about how important it is to keep our eyes on the ball.
Our class had so much fun!

Celebrating the Birthday of Dr Suess

During our two last library sessions we have been doing different activities to celebrate the birthday of Dr Suess. Janine, our enthusiastic library manager, decorated the library with items found in various well-known Dr Suess books. We matched and coloured worksheets. Last Friday we got to vote for our favourite Dr Suess story books by each putting a counter in a container. We enjoyed it a lot.

Janine also told us about a variation of the game "Duck, duck, goose". We changed it to "Cat, cat, hat".
We had lots of fun playing this version last Friday afternoon.
